About
For me, making art has always been about getting lost in the process. My work centers around exploring different types of mark-making, and how the repetition of a certain mark lends a unique voice to an image, often ending with an unexpected result. My goal is to make art that immerses the viewer and encourages their eye to wander through the image, as well as to evoke feelings of overwhelm and curiosity. Currently, I'm delving into the world of abstract and imaginary landscapes that capture the abundant beauty of nature.
Lexi Hawks (b. 1998) is a fine artist and illustrator based in New England. She graduated from Wellesley College with a degree in Media Arts and Sciences. While she currently has a focus on painting, her work explores a broad range of mediums including traditional printmaking techniques as well as digital art and animation.
